My name is Cody Lewis and I was born in Modesto, California on November 1st 1990. At a young age of 6 years old I got into wrestling and kept that as my passion until the age of 13 when I got into high school. I played football my freshman year at Thomas Downey high school. I had also planned to wrestle that yearm but started lifting weights the summer before and became addicted to it. My main purpose for lifting was to become a stronger, bigger wrestler but my mind changed as I became addicted to seeing the changes in my body. So, I gave up wrestling because I had a new dream, but it wasn't just a dream - it was something I knew I could make happen if I just gave it my all and tried my hardest. Nothing could step between me an those weights and the results I was getting from the hard work was more satisfying than I had imagined.
I stuck with it until age 17 when I did my first bodybuilding show and won the teen overall. That was the day I knew this was what I wanted to do. So I set my standards higher two weeks later, showing up at the California Championships and winning that as well. From doing so well my first two times out I knew I had something people liked and I had built what the judges wanted to see. I took two years off to prepare myself for the 2010 Teen Nationals, dreaming and praying everyday that I would step on that stage the biggest and best teen ever. I gave it my all everyday for two years - blood, sweat and tears! The day came and I stepped on that stage at my biggest and best teen to ever win the heavyweight title - and became a brand new proud sponsored athlete of Species Nutrition. As I move up this ladder of progress I give it my all every single day and plan to do my very best every single time I step on stage with no regrets!
